Biography
Viet Huynh (pronounced like "hwin") was born and raised in Goose Creek, SC and began his stand-up comedy career in Atlanta, GA. Moving forward, Viet has used that initial positive buzz to quickly become a favorite at many comedy clubs and venues across the nation.
As co-founder of the Affirmative Action Comedy Showcase, Viet has helped put together several successful shows featuring local and national comedians of different races, sexes, and cultures. Viet balances his structural engineering career with a rigorous schedule of multiple performances each week at various comedy clubs and venues. By doing so he has created a new profession by the name of "Comedic Engineering"; the design and delivery of jokes and punchlines. Viet has shared the stage with many well known comedians and has won a few comedy competitions along the way.
Viet derives a lot of his humor from his life of being an Asian-American growing up in the South, the portrayal of Asians in the media, and relationship issues.
